Cloud County Community College’s Welding program has received a $50,000 donation from Eagle Railcar Services. The donation will be used to purchase equipment for the Welding program at both the Concordia and Junction City campuses.

Cloud County Community College’s Welding program has received a $50,000 donation from Eagle Railcar Services. The donation will be used to purchase equipment for the Welding program at both the Concordia and Junction City campuses.
 
On the Concordia campus, the Welding program will be housed in the new Technical Education & Innovation Center, which will open for classes in August.

Eagle Railcar is the nation’s leading provider of railcar repair services with a location in Junction City. Founded in 2001, Eagle has focused on building a robust network of full-service railcar repair facilities with shops in six states. Built in 1974, the Junction City shop operated as Watco Railcar Repair Shop, and originally fabricated new railcars. It was purchased by Eagle in 2022.
