(Concordia, Kan) – A continuing education class for nurses titled, “The Golden Hour: The Importance of Activating the Emergency Trauma Team” will be offered February 18 on the Geary County Campus of Cloud County Community College.
This workshop will explore and discuss the immediate hour (the golden hour) after an accident with multiple traumatic injuries, activation of the trauma team, the importance of initial treatment and transfer to the appropriate trauma center. The proper protocol for activation and treatment of severe traumatic injuries will be reviewed.
This eight-hour continuing education class will meet from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., February 18 at CCCC/Geary Campus, 631 Caroline Avenue, Junction City, Kan.
The instructor for this class will be Stephanie Fair, RN, BSN.
